SPOT L  LC announced to recall all "SPOT-2" devices. They calling it "Voluntary Return Program" for their recently released second generation SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger. A email was sent to all registered "SPOT-2" owners by 14-DEC-2009.
Just to be clear, this recall does NOT involve the original SPOT Satellite Personal Tracker, just the second generation SPOT 2 as shown here. From 14-DEC-2009 on, it is additional not longer possible to register a affected "SPOT-2" over the findmespot webpage.
Issue is valid only for a SPOT 2 unit with an ESN number equal to or between
0-8000000 and
0-8053925.
