Hello Hans and Godfrey,
I just wanted to say thanks for the very nice comp: the format is very good (by far the most attractive way to compete on a PG for me) and it was well run.  We had a good time.
Godfrey, would you have Nikolai's e-mail - his pics are really good.  I enjoyed the XC mag article too, looks like the yellow Epsilon on page 54 may be my glider?  Would love to have the pic.
Attached are a few pics - not as good but great memories.  For the second to last, it looks like IFR (I Follow Roads) strategy doesn't work near Manilla.
See you next time we hope.  Let me know if you come near New Caledonia, although La Nina weather makes it tough to fly these days there are good things around.

Dear Hans, Andreas, Godfrey et alii,

Just a very quick thanks to you all for your contribution to the organisation of the XC Open in Manilla last week.

As usual it was an impeccably organised event and although it is the laid back atmosphere at this competition that I enjoy, I do appreciate just how much work you have all put in behind the scenes to make it so.

In my opinion the XC Open series is popular because the emphasis is on maximising the flying (rather than complying with complex sets of rules and regulations) and for that reason you can be sure I’ll be back again next year.

Cheers,
